-Sudden confusion or trouble understanding speech.

-Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.

-Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, or loss of balance.

-Sudden severe headache with no known cause.

What To Do

-Call 911 immediately

-Note the time symptoms began - this helps the doctors determine treatment.

-Keep the person safe and calm until help arrives.

- Do not give food, drink, or medication unless directed by emergency personnel.

THINK F.A.S.T

F - Face Drooping: Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A - Arm Weakness: Ask them raise both arms out straight. Does one arm drift downward or feel weak?

S - Speech Difficulty: Ask them to repeat a simple sentence. Is their speech slurred or hard to understand?

T - Time to Call 911: If any of these signs are present, call 911 immediately - even if the symptoms go away.
